About International College Sherborne
The College is a specialist intensive school for girls and boys, aged 11 - 17 whose native language is not English. The aim is to give students from non-British backgrounds the best linguistic and academic results possible. Classes normally have a maximum of 8 students. There are 150 students in the College. All teachers are double trained/qualified to teach English and their own subjects, such as Mathematics, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Geography, History, Art and Business Studies. This is to help ensure all lessons are fully understood and that language or cultural differences are not barriers to learning. The College occupies clean, modern buildings, with excellent academic facilities. The accommodation for students is mainly in modern single or double rooms with washbasins. Students usually stay at the College for a year and are then ready to move into a traditional British boarding school. The College has a full-time future schooling adviser to help. The College achieves excellent EFL, GCSE/IGCSE results on its main programme and offers quality academic Easter and Summer programmes. The College is fully accredited by the British Council and the ISA (Independent Schools Association) and is a founder member of the British Association of International Study Centres.

The Spring Vacation Course lasts for one or two weeks in March/April and is suitable for students wishing to revise for forthcoming GCSE/IGCSE courses, to prepare for English Exams IELTS, KET, PET and FCE or students wishing to improve their English.
The Summer Vacation Course lasts for two, four, six or eight weeks in July and August. It is an intensive programme that as well as teaching concepts in a variety of subjects also improves both general and academic English.
All courses are professionally staffed and organised by Sherborne International. They are for students who really want to learn in a caring, family atmosphere.
