We offer a specific General English program at Kaplan International Auckland, as well as Vacation English and Intensive English.

Our General English course is a semi-intensive program which allows you to balance comprehensive classroom tuition with structured study and free time activities. This course is available at all levels from Elementary to Advanced and you will be placed in a class which is suitable for your level.

Our flexible English courses improve your general English skills in your own time frame, letting you choose your course duration, your start date, and the intensity level.

A Kaplan Intensive English program offers a fast, enjoyable and effective way to improve your English language skills, whatever your current language level. You will have the opportunity to accelerate your progress and personalise your course with Specific Skills lessons and Structured Study.

Vacation English is our least intensive course option, helping you to improve your English language skills but leaving you with plenty of free time for sightseeing and leisure activities.

Our Exam Preparation courses are designed to improve your English and your chances at achieving higher test scores. They focus on exam-taking skills and tips to maximize your test scores.

IELTS Exam Preparation - This program will prepare you for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Exam. As an internationally recognised qualification, it is widely used by governments as a language proficiency guide and accepted by various professional organisations.

Cambridge Exam Preparation - This program will prepare you for the Cambridge English: First (FCE) or Advanced (CAE). Cambridge Exam Preparation courses give you a thorough, detailed understanding of the Cambridge Exam structure and teach you the best test-taking strategies. You’ll also practise the English you need to do well. Our lessons offer you a chance to take practice tests, learn the best techniques and feel confident on test day.

Our academic English programs provide students with English proficiency development ideal for going into an academic environment.

Our English for Academic Purposes program allows students the opportunity to develop their language skills for use in an English-speaking academic environment, giving them thorough preparation for either university, college or another program from Kaplan.

Academic Year or Semester programs - We also offer long-term language programs which allow you to achieve maximum fluency whilst immersing yourself in the language and culture of another country for 5, 6 or 8 months. Our range of program options allows you to tailor your course to suit your academic or career goals.

Our Intensive Business English course teaches essential English language skills to help you communicate effectively in a range of business contexts. Classes will include authentic listening activities taken from interviews with business leaders, case studies of real-life problems and solid practice of key business skills including negotiating, taking part in meetings, telephoning and using English in social settings.

Improve your English skills during a 6 month course and combine your studies with a part-time paid work placement. OPUS Paid Work and Study combines a Kaplan English language course with job placement assistance. Our dedicated OPUS Coordinators will pre-screen students, test their English language level and assess their approach to work to ensure that students are ready and well-suited for work in their chosen location. Students accepted onto the program will benefit from group coaching and individual meeting preparation, application support and assistance with the official requirements to start work.
