If nature is more to your liking, we just opened a brand new school in Chiang Mai. Located in the north of Thailand, it is surrounded by beautiful mountains and wonderful greenery.
Our main school, which opened 15 years ago, is IH Bangkok. It is conveniently located in the heart of Bangkok and is ideally situated for students to enjoy the sights and sounds of this lively and exotic city. We are a minute’s walk from the two main forms of public transportation in Bangkok (BTS and MRT). IH Bangkok is special in that we are a medium sized school when it comes to teaching English, but we also train over 600 CELTA trainees every year (at both locations). As our English department is medium sized, we can concentrate more fully on each student.
Nature-lovers and those who prefer a more leisurely pace of life will appreciate our new school in the laid-back, creative city of Chiang Mai. Often called the ‘Rose of the North’, Chiang Mai is a cultural and natural wonderland, boasting historic temples and bustling Night Bazaars surrounded by breathtaking mountains, lush forests and idyllic waterfalls

Both schools offer a wide range of courses – the General English 15 (15 hours a week of General English), General English 25, Academic English 25 and Business English 25, which all include the GE 15 in the morning, with 2 hours of class in the afternoon. We also offer a combination of 15 hours General English plus private 1:1 in a course of your choice.
We can also offer private 1:1 to private group 1:4 courses if you and your friends would like to study together.

We are delighted to offer tailor made courses to suit all kinds of 1:1 private classes and closed groups.

The 4 week CELTA course includes the observation of experienced teachers, actual teaching practice, participation in the trainer input sessions and the completion of a range of practically focused written assignments. We average around 500 CELTA students every year (at both locations) and have taught the CELTA for 9 years.
There is no end-of-course exam but you are expected to have successfully:
Attended and participated in the course
Completed 6 hours of teaching practice
Observed 6 hours of lessons taught by experienced teachers
Submitted 4 written assignments
Maintained and submitted a portfolio of coursework, including lesson plans and self-evaluations.
Those trainees who have successfully completed the course will be awarded either a pass, pass B or pass A, according to the continuous assessment by our trainers.

IH Bangkok is definitely a good choice to improve your English. I never had so much fun learning English.
I have booked a two-week English course. During the course I booked another week.
I would have done more weeks if I had had more time.
The staff and the teachers were very kind and helpful and made me feel comfortable. The lessons were well-structured and built up on each other.
Furthermore I got in touch with students from many different countries and we had a lot of conversation.
