Uxbridge College welcomes students from all over the world. The town of Uxbridge is a great place for an international student to live and work. It’s close to one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world and yet located in pleasant rural surroundings. It’s only 20 kilometres from London with direct underground train links to the city centre and close to Heathrow Airport. The area around Uxbridge is multi-culturally diverse and most nationalities find a 'home from home' community while they are here. THe Collge has recently invested over £10million in developing new teaching facilities, inlcuding state of the art sports centre. Uxbridge College is a government funded college and has 'Highly Trusted Status' given by UKBA. The College is regularly inspected by UK government quality agencies (OFSTED, QAA) The College was recently given an "outstanding" rating, the highest possible accolade for its standards, by government inspectors. For the last four years, the College has achieved the highest success rates out of all the Lonodn colleges. The College Principal has recently been awareded the OBE by HM Queen. We offer a vast range of facilities, services and pathway to degree programmes to help you enter university. Our own Higher Education courses are highly valued where students can enter the second or third year of a degree course at university. If English is not your first language and you want to improve your English skills, or you didn’t quite meet the minimum entry requirements for our Pre-University or Pathway to Degree programmes – our English courses may be appropriate for you. We understand the challenges facing students from a huge range of cultural and social backgrounds – and know how to put you on the road to success.

Our courses are at a range of levels, so we can help you develop your skills whether you are a beginner, or already have some English knowledge. With the help of our supportive staff, previous international students on our English Language courses have achieved excellent results in English exams, and several have progressed on to our range of Pre-University and Pathway to Degree courses.

We also offer English as a Foreign Language (EFL) courses. These courses prepare students to sit for the internationally recognised University of Cambridge English Language examinations: PET, KET and FCE. The College’s EFL courses are accredited by the British Council, and the College is a member of English UK.

KET

A basic level qualification that shows you can use English to communicate in
simple situations. It shows you have made a good start in learning English.
Courses are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10am to 12pm, at our
Uxbridge Campus. Evening classes will be available at our Hayes Campus,
subject to demand.

PET

An intermediate level qualification. It shows you are able to use your English
language skills for work, study and travel.
Courses are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10am to 12pm, at our
Uxbridge Campus. Evening classes will be available at our Hayes Campus,
subject to demand.

FCE

An intermediate level qualification. It shows you are able to use your English
language skills for work, study and travel.
Courses are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays for 10 weeks and you can choose
either mornings (10am to 12pm) or evenings (6.30pm to 8.30pm).
