VGC offers Global English, IELTS Preparation, TOEFL Preparation and University Preparation programs. There are many additional programs to help our students achieve their goals, such as electives, afternoon classes, summer programs for teens and Cambridge preparation. VGC also offers direct entry pathways to Canadian universities. Our School of International Business offers Business Diploma Programs with/without Co-Op, Business Certificate Courses and Seminars.

VGC International College also offers students extra services to guarantee they can always find support whenever they need it. The following are programs offered as part of the VGC package:

- Study Lab: where students can meet a teacher for an additional hour to find extra help for their English studies (Monday to Thursday).
- Writing Center: Writing is a difficult skill to master, especially in a second language. That's why we've created a special after school program to help students improve their writing skills (Monday to Thursday).
- Bi-weekly workshops to help our students with topics such as resumes, cover letters, job interviews or culture awareness.
- Continuing Studies: online support for our graduated students, one lesson a week for a year after our students graduate from VGC.

If you need an IELTS score, VGC’s IELTS Preparation is based on a time-tested curriculum that has helped many international students achieve their target score. The lessons are designed to give maximum teacher-to-student interaction and to provide opportunities for you to refine your English for each section of the test. Every two weeks you will participate in a practice IELTS test to provide you with a measurable assessment of your growth.

The total duration of IELTS Preparation is 24 weeks, divided into two twelve-week long courses: Pre-IELTS and IELTS Preparation.

Our TOEFL Preparation goes beyond reviewing sample test questions and gives you personalized advice based on your needs so that you can achieve your target score. At VGC you will not only use the test as a tool to achieve that score, but you will build the academic language and skills for your success in business and university.

Bi-weekly practice tests are given to make you comfortable with the test. Then our experienced TOEFL teachers mark your test and give you personalized feedback. We have designed this course so you will feel confident that you are ready to achieve your desired score.

If you want to study at a Canadian or American university or do business in English, the University Preparation program is for you. Successful completion of our UP program will allow you to gain the necessary language requirements for acceptance to our partner colleges or universities. It is also an excellent opportunity to refine your English for business communication. Studying at an English speaking university or working in an English speaking environment will require you to have high level communication skills, particularly for reading and writing. Vocabulary tends to be very advanced, and you are required to analyze information critically. The University Preparation program places a great deal of emphasis on extensive university-style reading, writing and analysis.

The Business English Certificate Program is a specialty program that gives you a good basis of English for business. It is divided into four thematic 4-week terms:

At the end of each successfully completed term you will be awarded with a certificate for the term’s work. This course is designed for you if you are currently in business, want to be in business, or will be using English for business in the future.

VGC combines our High School Preparation Program with our Summer Teen Experience activities making this course one of the most exciting summer teen English camps in Vancouver. We offer students a complete Canadian adventure where they will be fully immersed in English language lessons designed for the high school student, all while experiencing Canadian culture. It consists of an integrated program where the students have a full day of studies that focus on English relevant to the daily life of a high school teen. Every Tuesday and Thursday students will take their learning outside of the classroom where they will apply their language knowledge to a cultural activity. Further to this, there will be daily activities that students can enjoy.

And if that doesn’t sound like enough fun, students will have the opportunity to experience the beautiful wilderness that Canada is famous for. This summer camp consists of spending several days away from the city. We will enjoy swimming in pristine lakes, canoeing, campfires, taking photos of breathtaking landscapes and much, much more!

This program contains relevant English language for the high school student whether they are returning to study in their home country or going onto study at a Canadian high school. It is offered in the summer months only for students between 13 and 18 years old.
