À propos Melton College
Melton College is a family-run language school with 45 years' experience of welcoming students to the beautiful city of York. The College is just outside the busy city centre and can offer your clients the peace and space to study. Melton College is a centre for IELTS (the exams are at the College) as well as the main Cambridge exams. The College has excellent facilities, large classrooms, computer room with free broadband access and Wi-Fi. We also have a library with self-access material, a café and a number of quiet rooms and common rooms. Outside we have a large garden with a terrace, basketball and tennis courts. York is an excellent year-round student city. It has good shopping, social life and nightlife. York is also a famous historical city with a number of world famous museums and buildings. Melton College is agent friendly and we welcome new partners from all over the world. We are particularly interested in finding new partners for our adult year-round programme and our 50+ programmes. Melton College is accredited by the British Council and is a member of EnglishUK, Quality English and IALC.

Our General English Courses are aimed at adults who want to improve their language skills for educational or professional purposes. Our programme includes a balance of grammar, speaking, reading, listening and writing.
Students receive either 15 hours of tuition each week (General English A) or 22.5 hours of tuition each week (General English B). (General English A does not run during the period covered by the Summer Course.)

The Melton College FCE/CAE Preparation Courses run for up to three months (12 weeks) leading to the March, June and December test dates. These courses will be managed by a qualified Cambridge examiner.

The Gold Course is open to anyone over the age of 50 who wants to spend time in the company of like-minded adults. The Course offers a blend of English lessons, social activities, visits and excursions.

The summer timetable is a balance of grammar, reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. Older students enjoy exploring a top tourist city. For younger students, York is a safe city; big enough to be interesting, small enough to be friendly. After lessons, students can choose from our after-class activities including; literature and talks, sport or film, we also run a homework club. On two evenings each week we arrange activities in the College and we have a series of optional extra evening events (for a small additional payment) in the City.
