The Location

The School
The school occupies three floors of a renovated mid 1800 period building and has nine recently refurbished classrooms, a modern internet café and a student lounge.
The Lifestyle
Our varied activities include scenic boat trips, school BBQs, cheese fondue nights, opera visits, excursions to other Swiss cities and the Alps, as well as sports activities and weekend trips to the surrounding countries of Austria, France, Germany and Italy.

If you want to combine your language studies with other activities, the Standard 20 Course is the ideal program for you. During the lessons you will learn communication skills in a variety of everyday situations. The lessons cover grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and skills practice in speaking, listening, reading and writing. We use a wide variety of materials and exercises including role-plays, authentic recorded material, newspapers and magazines..

The Goethe-Zertifikat B1 (ZD) proves that you have a sound basic knowledge of everyday German and that you have the language skills required for dealing with all kinds of different situations encountered every day. The examination corresponds to level three (B1) on the six-level scale of competence laid down in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEF).
The Goethe-Zertifikat B2 requires advanced language skills. The examination corresponds to level four (B2) on the six-level scale of competence laid down in the CEF.
The Goethe-Zertifikat C1 calls for very advanced language skills. It corresponds to level five (C1) on the six-level scale of competence laid down in the CEF.
