À propos Liden & Denz Intercultural Institute of Languages St.Petersburg
Liden and Denz language centres are well knows, inspected and internationally recognised institutions that teach Russian as a foreign language. You can find our centres in Moscow & Saint Petersburg, and also in Riga, Latvia. All schools feature attractive modern facilities and have convenient central locations. Courses are run all year round at all levels with identical dates, prices and programmes for all our centres.
In our classes we combine intensive teaching in small groups with a communicative, personal approach within a friendly atmosphere. That way we keep motivation high as our students progress fast and with ease.
Liden & Denz is an official examination centre for the Russian telc exam.
Liden & Denz St. Petersburg is located at the south-eastern edge of the Square of Arts (Ploshad Isskustv), at Italianskaya ulitsa 17, between the historical shopping arcade Passage and the Philharmonia. The closest metro station (Nevsky Prospekt) is reachable in less than 5 minutes walking.
Our new home, in a historical and newly renovated building, has been purposely built from the ground up with latest technologies implemented in the process. All 13 classrooms have access to natural light and come with a modern design. All 18 windows open the view to a quiet yard in the middle of the historical centre of St. Petersburg.

If you are looking to REALLY learn Russian, this is the place for you. The teachers will really push you and motivate you here. Like most students, I've tried many different courses with varying success rates. After Liden & Denz, I can hold a confident conversation with a stranger and often get compliments about my accent (or lack thereof). If your goal is to speak like a local, this is the place for you.

Etudié Russe généralBest Place to Study Russian in Russia, Hands Down
I can't think of a better place to spend your summer. The teachers are very laid back, the facilities are immaculate, and the atmosphere is very positive. I studied in Saint Petersburg for two months as an video blogger intern and had a wonderful time. If you have the opportunity, I definitely recommend that you come! Saint Petersburg is one of the most beautiful places on earth, and you owe it to yourself to come learn Russian in the Venice of the North.

Etudié Russe généralGreat education, wonderful experience
I took a Russian language course through Liden & Denz lasting one month, and I wish I could stay longer! Previously I studied Russian at my university and it is difficult to even compare the two experiences. The Russian instructors are very kind, motivating, intelligent, professional, and they really push you to learn. The class is intensive, I signed up for 20 hours a week, but it is never overwhelming. I never imagined myself improving as much as I did, in reading, listening, and speaking. The school is in a nice location, fairly easy to get to, especially by metro. The staff is very helpful and all really want you to learn the language and enjoy doing it. They provide many cultural activities as well, although unfortunately I did not get the chance to experience many so I can not offer a solid review in that category. I would definitely recommend this school to others, you get your money's worth and they truly care about your education. I hope to come back again to improve even more.

Etudié Russe généralInterning at Liden&Denz in St Petersburg
This is one of the best language schools I have ever studied at! I have, in fact, studied and worked at Liden&Denz in St Petersburg for three months. Everything was perfectly organized (the staff members helped me with everything), the teachers are qualified and the school offers the perfectly bright, warm and modern environment for studying -- and all of this in the CITY CENTER!! My experience at this school was truly something I will never forget! Also, I can proudly say that my Russian skills have improved :D

Etudié Russe généralIntern and Student Experience
During my semester break at Uni, I had the opportunity of studying and interning at Liden & Denz in St. Petersburg for five weeks. In my experience the school really looks after their students.
A typical day for me as a part-time intern and student would look like this:
• Classes from 10:00 to 13:40
• Lunch with fellow students and colleagues
• Work until approx. 18:30
As Social Media Assistant my work tasks were the following: creating content plans, designing Instagram posts and stories, Facebook posts, translations and preparing a presentation about Austrian culture. We would have a content plan meeting every Monday to discuss new ideas and timetables.
Unfortunately, due to overbooking, I (and another fellow intern) were only provided four weeks of classes instead of five. However, they offered additional intensive classes and money reimbursement for the museums we visited in our free time that week.
The teachers are very friendly and the climate in class is really relaxed. In general, the language used in class is Russian. I would recommend the school if you want to have interesting conversations in Russian (and learn a lot of new vocab!). The school also offers cool excursions every week in St. Petersburg but also to a few other cities near СПБ.

Etudié Russe généralGreat teachers!
I started studying at the Liden & Denz during my first year in Russia, although I was an absolute beginner my teacher managed to hold the classes entirely in Russian and I noticed very quick improvements from the very beginning. This year I had the chance to do an internship at the school which included having free language classes every day for two months and I would really recommend it. The internship in itself is a very pleasant experience, we were given plenty of freedom to explore topics interesting to us, see the city and write about it. Anastasia (the internship supervisor) was always open to new ideas and very flexible about our schedule. The classes were great, the teachers worked really hard to design classes according to our wishes both when it came to grammar and the conversational classes. Besides being a great place where to learn Russian, it is a great place where to learn more about Russian history, literature, culture, and traditions.

I've spent 2 months there working as an intern, and since their internship program offers free Russian courses, I have experiences about that too. As I am a university student specialising in Russian myself, I have considerable experience when it comes to Russian learning and teaching. And sincerely, this is truly one of the best places to learn. The teachers are nice and professional, the lessons are interesting and intriguing, the topics vary, but one thing is always there, the student is always on the focus. They try to focus more on 'active' skills instead of pointless grammatical rules, although when they teach that, they are good at that too. All in all, I can only recommend them to anyone, since the quality of the educational courses are beyond high, the atmosphere is perfect, there are always interesting events organised by the school, so you can never get bored!

Etudié Russe généralFor those who want to live the best language-related experience of their lives
I’ve worked there from April 7th to June 30th as an Editorial assistant, and it was not my first time at school. I’ve been there 1st time 3 years ago and, to my surprise, I can say they’re able to sensibly improve the service year by year even though it’s been top-notch since day 1 (highly professional teachers, very friendly and helpful employees, and, last but not least, school position and structure). HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Etudié Russe généralThe best place to learn Russian
I have taken courses at university in Germany and Russia, but the only place I made real progress was at Liden & Denz. I had one stay during the summer of 2017 and one in the winter of 2018, amounting to almost three months in total. I came back because of the great learning environment, the school's professionality and all the great and interesting people who study Russian there. Additionally, you'll have the chance to pass by the Kazan Cathedral and the Saviour on the Spilled Blood on your way to school every day, as the school is located in the heart of St. Petersburg.
I would highly recommend Liden & Denz to anyone who wants to learn Russian!

Etudié Russe généralA great experience!
I spent four months working as a Social Media Content Assistant at Liden & Denz in St. Petersburg and it truly was one of the best times of my life! Being able to combine learning Russian in such a great school with working as an intern was an invaluable experience. My spoken and written Russian improved greatly, and the chance to work for the school really boosted my communication and computer skills. I can’t recommend Liden & Denz enough! Everything – from the teaching to the friendships – was perfect. The staff are so friendly and encouraging, and from day one I felt supported and valued in my role as an intern as well as a student. Большое спасибо!
