General English courses are designed to help students improve their level of English. We offer a Standard General level and an Intensive General level. We also offer One - to - One Courses.

Enrolment Fee for all course: £100

Standard General English - 15 hours per week, 20 lessons per week
Price: 1 - 23 weeks: £180 / week, 24+ weeks: £170 / week

Intensive General English - 18 hours per week, 24 lessons per week
Price: 1 - 23 weeks: £200 / week, 24+ weeks: £190 / week

One - to One Courses: £50 per 45 minutes lessons

The intensive option includes 15 hours p/w of exam preparation and 3 hours p/w of communication skills.

Available classes range from 1:1 to 10 students per class and lessons can be taken on your computer, mobile phone or tablet. Each lesson is 45 minutes long. You can take 10 or 20 lessons per week in group classes. Please note, a functioning camera is necessary for online learning.

We offer our students tailor made English courses designed to teach English in a specific subject. Students studying 24 weeks on our combination courses will receive a Diploma in the specific subject.

ETC can provide other specialist courses based on the same structure e.g.
English for Finance
English plus Aromatherapy

All the combination courses are 22.5 hours in total per week. Students will have 15 hours of General English Monday to Friday. 7.5 hours of specialist tuition Monday to Friday.
All students will receive 30 lessons in total per week. This includes 20 lessons of General English Monday to Friday and 10 lessons of specialist tuition Monday to Thursday.
Price: 1 - 23 weeks: £300 / week, 24+ weeks: £290 / week.

ETC offers Teacher Training Courses that are delivered by Athena Teacher Training. These are Trinity CertTESOL teaching qualifications. The 4 week course costs £1,399, which includes examination fees.

ETC offers an academic programme for Juniors designed to help improve their general level of English. In our Junior Programme, we offer 20 group lessons (15 hours) of General English per week. Every student is given an initial placement test to guarantee the most suitable course. Students are placed in a class with other juniors of a similar English language level.

There are two packages to choose from: Homestay and ETC Residence

Homestay - 12 - 17 years old

Price: £600 per week. Enrolment: £100. Airport transport from £150 one way (London Heathrow) extra.

We provide shared rooms in an ETC homestay.

School transport will be included for the students aged 14 and under in homestay. Students aged 15 - 17 will be provided with a bus pass.

All homestays are DBS checked and inspected. All students will have a comfortable and clean room, with laundry done once per week.

Launches are provided from Monday to Friday at the ETC Cafe.

Juniors booking aged 15 and below may only stay maximum of 26 nights.

ETC Residence - 12 - 17 years old

Price: £625 per week. Enrolment: £100. Airport transport from £150 one way (London Heathrow) extra.

With CCTV and staff available on site 24/7, students are safe and secure in our Residence. All rooms are shared with up to 3 other people. We also have a residence by the beach just 4 minutes from the school.

Both programmes offer a range of activities including:

1 full day of excursions per week (London, Oxford, Bath). Homestay will provide packed lunch, while food will be provided by ETC for students in residence.

1 half-day excursion per week (Jurassic Coast, Southampton, Winchester)

4 afternoon sports and social activities per week (bowling, laser quest, beach sports, football)

Juniors booking aged 15 and below may only stay maximum of 26 nights.
