About International House Galway - IH Galway
International House Galway is situated in the beautiful university city of Galway on the spectacular Atlantic coast of Ireland. Galway city has 75,000 inhabitants, 20% of whom are university students, and this small size means that the city has a friendly atmosphere and is also very safe for IH students. IH Galway offers year round General English and Cambridge and IELTS preparation courses, and residential summer programmes for teens, including the Junior Vacation and Pre University Experience Programmes. We are a University of Cambridge teacher training centre and we offer CELTA and DELTA courses.

We help you to practise the key communication skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing, with a focus on vocabulary development. Some grammar is included but the main focus is helping our students to become confident using English. We follow a course book, combined with motivating authentic materials, such as newspapers, videos, and radio.

We help you to focus on the grammar and vocabulary you need for your exam. Practise listening, speaking, reading and writing skills at exam level. Develop exam techniques to help you complete the exam effectively. You will do part and complete practice tests during your course. As these lessons are in the afternoon, you can also take General English lessons in the morning.
