About Vancouver Island University - English Language Centre

We are fully accredited and offer flexible programs to develop communication skills (6 or 13.5 weeks) and academic preparation skills (13.5 weeks). Choose VIU's Language and Culture Program for short-term English studies (3 or 4 weeks). The English Language Centre staff and faculty look forward to working with you and helping you achieve your goals.

- 20 hours per week, including up to 2 elective courses.
- Six start dates per year (beginning and middle of each semester).

5 level integrated skills program.
14-week modules.
20 hours per week of instruction includes up to 2 electives.
- Start in January, May, or September.
- Costs: $4,900 Cdn per module.
- Includes learning center, language lab access and socio-cultural activities.
- Small classes, highly qualified, friendly, approachable teachers, and a wide
range of learning materials.
- Students in the top 1 level (AP5) may be eligible to take one academic credit
course.
- Graduates from level five can enter Vancouver Island University degree,
diploma and certificate programs directly (as long as academic pre-
requisites met).
