Academy SJW (St John's Wood School of English) was founded in 1952, and was one of the first English Language schools to be established in London.

SJW is a small, family-owned school with seven classrooms and a maximum of 70 students.

At SJW, no one is a stranger - we believe that our clients are also our friends, and in fact, around 25% of people studying at SJW are friends, relatives or colleagues of former SJW students, or clients making a return visit!

SJW is located in the St John's Wood area of central London, in Travel Zone two. It is a pleasant, residential part of the city and there are numerous pubs, cafes and restaurants nearby. The world famous Regent's Park is a 15 minute stroll from SJW, and the EMI Studio, where The Beatles recorded their albums, is five minutes away in Abbey Road.
