L\'Italiano Portacindo is a fabulous school

I absolutely loved my two weeks there, so much so that I'm going back for two weeks this summer. I'm a language teacher by profession so able to judge the teaching, which was excellent. Small classes, intense classes - lots of emphasis on grammar in my intermediate class, and thoroughly enjoyable. And what was really nice was the social aspect - meeting for coffee every morning and outings (mostly free, just the cost of a bus ticket) on certain afternoons. A lovely welcoming place

Great school, course and staff

I attended this school two times, in June 2016 and June 2017 for an individual course. The first contact was already very good: response was timely, professional and friendly. I could sort out all questions on beforehand via email.

The course was very excellent, the teacher I had (the same the two times) was very well structured, took time to make things clear and explain them properly. Her teaching techniques are modern and she adjusted to my needs accordingly. The material is good and the course was a good mix between theory, exercises from the book (mostly) and exercises based on games (often) as well as audio and video material (a few times) - in my eyes, very well balanced.

The school staff is very nice and friendly. They organize activities after school and there was always someone from the school taking part in those activities.

They show great interest in their students and definitely go an extra mile. It seems to me that all in all, they love what they do and that makes it special.

Standard courses + CILS preparation courses

L’Italiano Porticando’s courses are focused on learning Italian through speaking (without neglecting grammar and writing though) which I found really helpful, because every day communication with Italians represented the major difficulty for me. All teachers of the school are extremely experienced and proficient, the classes are not boring at all so I had a lot of fun.

By far the best way to learn Italian

Learning the language was the first thing I wanted to do when arrived in Turin. Luckily, my host family here proposed me L'Italiano Porticando, saying it's the best. And I totally agree!

You can find lots of language schools, but this one makes the difference in so many ways.

First of all, their method. They have their own, carefully made and level-based material, that is not focused only on the language itself, but also on communication skills, culture, everyday life, history, art. So a total immersion into this beautiful country. In addition, afternoon activities, cooking courses, excursions, museum visits, everything organised by them, help to really get to know the city and its people, but it's also a great opportunity to practice the language even more, which you achieve to do even from the first lesson!!!

But as a teacher myself, I can say that no teacher can be successful if not loving their job. And in this school, I had the chance to be taught from almost all the teachers. I saw their passion and love for teaching from the first till my last day there! People qualified, kind, really caring about their students, making them feel like home, trying their best every single day to make learning a great experience and of course to meet their students' needs.

But all the above mentioned are objective facts that any person studying there can confirm.

Speaking for myself, I spent 7 months in this school, doing the intensive course the 6 of them (3 hours per day, 5 days a week). This is my second year in Italy. And I can tell you that these months were more than enough for me to take my B2 certificate in Italian language, be able to communicate perfectly with Italian people, have job interviews (and succeeding) and in general, learn a lot about this beautiful country. And all the team helped in every single step of mine.

I keep coming back to Italiano Porticando every single time I've got the chance to. Because an experience like this cannot be forgotten.

Don't hesitate!This is the one!

Grazie di tutto Rosaria, Laura, Caterina, Paola, Walter, Monica.

Super fast and funny way to learn proper Italian

I greatly enjoyed my experience at L'Italiano Porticando. I took the intensive courses (3-hour per day, every day) and it turned me into a confident Italian speaker in no time. Highly recommended. Professors are exigent and super fun, the best combination. Classes tend to be super cheerful.

Huge help to settle in in Italy

I had taken already a course abroad and I only took one month to improve my conversation. It really helped me to start talking in Italian and do some job interviews. Moreover the teachers and students were really great and I had a very fun experience! Besides the Italian courses, there are other activities (visit of Turin, history class, ...) that I enjoyed a lot until I found a job. It really helped to discover the city and make some friends. Thanks a lot Italian Porticando!
