Gloucestershire College is a leading state Further Education college located in the heart of the Cotswolds. We have two main campuses in Cheltenham and Gloucester and a smaller campus in the beautiful Forest of Dean.

Both Cheltenham and Gloucester campuses are located less than two hours from London and within an hour of Oxford, Stratford, Bath, Birmingham and Bristol.

We offer year round courses in EFL, International Foundation, A Levels, HNC's, HND's, Foundation Degrees and Vocational Diplomas. We are also experienced in offering study abroad High School Programmes from one term to one year.

As a college we excel in Maths and Sciences and our sixth form offers full immersion into a British education as the majority of students are British learners.

We offer bespoke culture weeks as well as highly successful junior and adult summer school programmes.

Is English your second language? Do you need to improve your English to gain access on to a Further Education course or employment?
Our well-established ESOL courses are for all ages and taught by experienced and friendly staff. Many students progress to the next level in ESOL, while some move on to part-time or full-time programmes in vocational areas.

ESOL classes help many learners to improve their English in order to communicate better in many situations, e.g. at work or their child’s school. Taught by experienced tutors you will learn about a range of topics based on living in the UK and citizenship. You have the opportunity to take Reading, Writing and Speaking and Listening exams at various points in the year.

Our English language classes are multi-cultural and focus on communication through English. You will be encouraged to develop your speaking and listening skills as we focus on learning English grammar and vocabulary. All lessons have a communicative focus and your participation is expected in pair and group activities.

All of our teachers are professionally qualified with a Level 5 teaching certificate and 70% of our teaching staff have a Level 7 diploma or master’s degree qualification in teaching English.
