About DA Siena - Società Dante Alighieri

Founded in Siena-Tuscany in 1979, the school has continued to increase in size and reputation, becoming one of the most successful schools in Tuscany. During the years an Italian gastronomy department has been added to the Italian language school. The school - located in the Medieval centre of Siena - welcomes students from all over the world, and of all ages. We boast 20 classrooms, internet point, cafeteria, courtyards and terrace, recreation room with piano, self-study centre and library, professional kitchen and dining room for the cooking courses. Both the language teachers and the cooking chefs are highly qualified and dynamic, while our office staff are always willing to help our students out. We co-operate with important partners abroad, prestigious European and American Universities and High schools offering Italian language, culture and cooking programs and internship and work experience programs. The school is centre for the examination PLIDA - certificate of Italian recognised by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Education. We are recognised by the European Community for the Grundtvig and Socrates Comenius programs. We recently obtained UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 by TÜV ITALIA.
