Why learn Polish?

You might think or have heard that Polish is a hard language. The nouns can have three genders, every noun and adjective may appear in one of the seven cases, verbs have two aspects. But when some things are more difficult than in other languages others are easier.  There are no articles, word order is not important, there are only a few tenses, the alphabet is mostly phonetic, there is a lot of vocabulary originating in Latin.

You will be able to enjoy Polish literature such as Pan Tadeusz by Adam Mickiewicz, Lalka by Bolesław Prus or Quo Vadis by Henryk Sienkiewcz as well as poems by Wisława Szymborska; music – some of the most popular bands include Bajm, Kult, Kombi, Myslovitz, Lombard, Perfekt and more;  the movies like Kiler, Seksmisja, Miś are best enjoyed in the original.

The country is beautiful, with a lot of history and many things to see. It has forests, lakes, mountains and the sea. There are a lot of places to explore and it will be easier for you if you know a little Polish.

The Polish people are hospitable and welcoming; they will help you and make you feel at home.

It will be easier for you to understand other Slavic languages.
