Learn English in a short time in an extremely pleasant environment.

Notions of English are not only limited to classes but continue throughout the day and every day in all common activities like during meals and the many excursions. Classes are mostly taught by two outside teachers whom I liked very much, but in case of need Sonia and Gavin also give lessons, they are present during meals and during common activities by imparting spontaneous lessons outside the classroom, also in the absence of the teachers for example on weekends but not only we continue to speak English among participants and this helps as well to accelerate the learning process.
Exemplary is the kindness, helpfulness, and passion that the owners Sonia and Gavin offer all the time.
Regarding the infrastructure, Bangor and its surroundings are quiet and delightful, the accommodations are cozy, clean, all meals are cooked by Sonia who cooks impeccably, and the all-inclusive formula perfectly delivers what it promises i.e., little money is spent on extras.

Une Expérience Inoubliable !

J'ai passé 2 semaines chez "MovingOn Courses" et, pour donner une rapide conclusion, je ne peux que recommander cette académie !

Tout d'abord, Gavin et Sonia sont, dès le départ, très chaleureux, accueillants et gentils : on se sent comme chez soi très rapidement. J'ai trouvé l'organisation des cours très efficace et complémentaire : le matin, nous sommes séparés en groupes de niveau et nous alternons avec deux professeurs : Olga et Brian, qui sont géniaux !
Ensuite, après avoir très bien mangé grâce au talent de Sonia, nous partons en excursion afin de mettre en pratique les cours du matin. C'est une façon plus ludique et plus concrète de pratiquer l'anglais.

Enfin, nous parlons 100% anglais du matin au soir : pendant les cours, les repas, les excursions et même plus ! Cela est très utile pour prendre confiance et gagner en fluidité.

Ce cours va au-delà d'un simple cours d'anglais : l'immersion est totale, on tisse des liens avec les professeurs et les autres membres du groupe, tout cela pour le bien de notre anglais, mais aussi pour vivre une expérience inoubliable !

Je recommande fortement, pour tous les niveaux !

Full English immersion!!!

I most heartily recommend MovingOn Courses school!!! It's more than just a regular English school, it's simply an outstanding experience. I spent a week here looking to boost my speaking fluency. From the very beginning I was completely immersed in English and with wonderful, helpful people. Gavin and Sonia, the owners of the school and also of the house where the classes take place and where we sleep and eat delicious meals (all included in the course price!!!), are professional teachers and wonderful hosts. Apart from the very personalised and intimate classes with two other teachers, we get much more than we could expect. We talk to native speakers and other students all the time. We also work during very interesting afternoon excursions. I highly recommend it. Justyna P.S. and besides all this, Bangor is a lovely town!

Moving On Course for a teacher

Soy profesora de inglés y buscaba una experiencia de inmersión para actualizarme. Contacté con diversas empresas de cursos en el extranjero tradicionales y ninguna me convencía, hasta que encontré la opción de Moving On Courses.
La experiencia no ha podido ser mejor! No es un curso de inglés convencional ni una estancia con el profesor. Es una combinación de varias cosas. Recibes clases, participas en la vida de la casa, compartes tiempo, actividades y conversación con los lugareños, visitas el entorno (que, por cierto es precioso) y sientes que estás realmente inmerso en el idioma y la cultura.
En mi opinión, es la combinación perfecta: por la mañana aprendes dentro de la clase y el resto del día pones en práctica lo que has aprendido, con personas nativas y en situaciones reales, a la hora de comer, en el pub, en el coche, en la tienda... Con este formato no puedes desconectar ni puedes tener una actitud pasiva, y esa es la mejor forma de aprender, sin duda.
Si tuviera que buscar un curso de inglés para mis hijos, los traería a Moving On Courses.
Aparte del curso, la estancia es muy agradable por el entorno, por Gavin y Sonia que te hacen sentir como uno más de la familia y por la comida que es excelente!
Yo he estado dos semanas pero me habría gustado quedarme más!!

L’esperienza migliore di sempre

Una delle esperienze migliori della mia vita. Cercavo un corso intensivo per adulti, pratico e che allo stesso tempo mi permettesse di vivere qualcosa di nuovo. Questo corso ha superato tutte le mie aspettative. L’hotel dove stavamo era accogliente, pratico, completamente ristrutturato. Partecipare ai corsi della mattina, essendo nello stesso edificio, era comodissimo; studiati su misura sugli studenti, gli insegnanti meravigliosi, bravi a spiegare oltre che bellissime persone, che sostengono e incoraggiano in continuazione. I proprietari della casa sono disponibili e gentili. La differenza infatti la fa proprio Sonia, la proprietaria, che 3 volte la settimana ci portava a vedere posti incredibili dell’Irlanda del Nord, mostrandoci posto i unici e spiegandoci la storia di un popolo entrando nella cultura e nell’anima del posto. Il cibo preparato da lei, inoltre, era meglio di un ristorante. La presenza della nonna poi è speciale, ridere delle esperienze era esilarante. Ogni mercoledi andavamo a fare sport al porto, bellissimo. La città di Bangor è stupenda, casette colorate, negozi e locali tipici, di fronte ad un panorama unico, il mare. Consiglio a tutte le persone che come me credono di avere dei limiti con la lingua, di vivere quest’esperienza per avere la forza di dire “ce la posso fare” ma allo stesso tempo vivere emozioni incredibili.

Eureka

I took English classes in Moving on Courses with my teenage daughter for one week.
I can assure you that my child was enjoying stay in this academia and it change her approach to use of English language to more practical. She has told me a lot of times, that she wish her education would be organized this way: only one thing at a time, full immersion, friendly atmosphere and no grades (yes, child can learn something without grades, eureka!).
Honestly, I recommend this academia for young learners too.

Great experience for fair price

Friendly and professional teachers, interesting study trips, fantastic home-made meals, comfortable accomodation. I highly value small classes - teachers tailor the lessons to your needs. Study trips were well prepared, always interesting, ending in a cosy café where we discussed what we had learnt.:) Students were different nationalities, age (24-65) and proffessions - it was great to meet interesting people! Teachers actually available 12 hrs a day (hats off, Karen, for your effort!!) Sonia, our host, is a really great cook - I will never forget her Irish stew :). Comfortable rooms and all facilities (washing mashine etc.). I felt very welcome. Thank you, Sonia and Gavin, for your hospitality, you do a great job!!

This Course is Excellent to learn as a family

The course is very good and I can confirm every information about it.
The owners Sonia and Gavin are really nice and professional, Sonia is an amazing chef.
The class is every day for 4 hours, in the afternoon there are useful study trips.
At Lunch and Dinner you speak a lot with the teachers and other students.
This is the best course!
