Our school is a beautiful 18th Century mansion that used to be home to the Dukes of Devonshire.
Set in its own 10-hectare park, LTC is just 15 minutes’ walk from the centre of Eastbourne and from the beach. Eastbourne is a thriving holiday resort that attracts over four million visitors every year. It is just 90 minutes from London.
A large but very friendly school, LTC Eastbourne offers General English and Exam Preparation courses for adult students all year round and a residential Summer School for young learners. The school also offers special group programmes at any time of year.
We have 25 classrooms and up to 300 students during the busy months, with 360 in summer when we use extra classrooms near the school.
In 2014, students from 44 different nationalities studied on our English courses at LTC Eastbourne.
In 2014 LTC Eastbourne celebrated its 60th anniversary.

Our General English course focuses on English as a language of international communication. Our class levels are based on the Common European Framework and there is a strong emphasis on helping students monitor their progress with regular revision tests and tutorials.
At LTC you work on all areas of your English: listening, speaking, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. In the afternoon Plus classes, you can improve your Communication Skills.

LTC Eastbourne runs General English + IELTS Exam Preparation courses - you study General English in the mornings and focus on skills and techniques for IELTS in the afternoons
Study for IELTS, an internationally recognised English language qualification.
Course Objectives
To help you achieve good results in IELTS by:
Training you in the skills and techniques needed for the exam
Giving you extensive IELTS examination practice
Improving the level of your English through a combination of language input and practice in the skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing

Minimum level intermediate (CEFR B1)
You can choose Business English if you want to learn and practise the language you will need to work in an English-speaking office.
Course Objectives
To equip you with the language skills you need for an English-speaking office environment by:
Teaching common business language and terminology
Teaching the language needed for standard business situations, such as meetings, negotiation, presentations, telephoning, correspondence and report writing.
Giving you practice in using business language via case studies, role plays and simulations

Young Learner Summer School
A study holiday to remember
This course is ideal for young people aged 10-17 who want to learn English and have a fun holiday too.
LTC Eastbourne’s Summer School will run from 14 June to 23 August 2015.
The school is in an 18th century mansion, once home to the Duke of Devonshire.
You will enjoy spending time inside the historic school building and outside in the 10 hectares of private park and exploring Eastbourne.
Every week you will enjoy:
20 morning lessons (15 hours) per week
Shared homestay accommodation or residential dormitory accommodation
Full board with hot lunch Monday-Friday, packed lunch weekends
Full-day excursion on Saturdays
Half-day excursion on Wednesdays
Full programme of afternoon and evening activities every week
