COINED Santiago February 2013

I attended COINED in February 2013 for a two-week introduction to Spanish in preparation for travel around South America for up to a year. As a complete novice in Spanish I found the COINED staff very helpful and supportive, and I was particularly impressed by their approach to moving me between classes at the beginning of the second week in order to maximise the benefit I got from the course. I have seen others' comments about the friendliness of the staff and I wholeheartedly endorse those; the people who worked at COINED were friendly and went out of their way to help and to make us feel at home ( and, many months later, they cheerfully welcomed me back for social get-togethers outside school hours). The expeditions in and around the city were a good addition, though they also represented for me, as a novice, a challenge because I couldn't always follow what external guides were saying but, again, the staff were good at helping and explaining afterwards. All in all, highly recommended as a place to study Spanish.

Amazing Spanish Immersion!

I stayed almost two month in COINED Santiago de Chile and I didn't have one minute to feel bored! I took some english courses in the US before so I expected something way more academic. The teachers and staff are amazing, always here to help, professionals in class and your friends outside of school. You're gonna be able to find plenty of different activities to do and you will be part of a new family in a couple of days! My stay couldn't have been better than this. An awesome experience I highly recommend!

awesome time

perfect combination of learning a new language and cultural experience. the school organizes various activities, e.g. visiting a museum, going out together, trekking and day trips to places in the surrounding.
the staff is extremely nice and always willing to help.
furthermore, they have a big terraze which serves as the perfect meeting point.
i made friends with lots of great people and cant imagine i could have spent this time any better.

Recomiendo Coined!

Saludos.

Primera vez en Chile

Coined in Santiago de Chile is a great accommodation to learn Spanish, the lessons are in small groups of students (maximum of 8) and there is a distinction between the different levels so that you´re in a class with students with the same level. Santiago is also a relatively safe city in South America and offers a lot of cultural things to see.
