studied English Summer Courses

I came to New York for an English Summer Course. I have been here for a very short time, but I can already say that studying at Pace University has been one of the most valuable experiences in my life. Although I felt a little bit uncertain at first, with the help of ELI staff and professors I soon got used to the new school and I got to like it a lot. The significant characteristic of Pace is the great atmosphere that makes you feel almost at home there. The teachers, as well as the ELI staff, have always been kind to me and answered my questions with patience and understanding. My classmates have also been very friendly and supportive, which helped me quickly become a part of the team. The classes allow me to improve my writing and reading skills and work on fluency in speaking English. Apart from this, ELI often organizes activities such as walking tours around New York, trips to interesting places, watching movies and many more. They all give the students a great opportunity to learn about the American history and culture and get to know one another better through a chat outside the classroom. If anybody asked me whether ELI at Pace University is a good choice for an English student, I would not hesitate to sincerely recommend it. If it was me to choose, I would definitely pick Pace.

I strongly recommend the ELI program for students who want to improve their English efficiently and have a great experience in New York. Teachers of ELI are so patient to inspire student to express their views and give their professional advices in solving students’ practical English problems. I am so glad that I had Lydia’s pronunciation class on my first semester. When I pronounced wrongly, she always sat next to me, watching my mouth and teaching me how to speak correctly. Moreover, ELI’s fantastic activities really help student to adapt to the new life of New York as quickly as possible. I do want to recommend the volunteer program. This program not only gave us a chance to help people, but also gave us a chance to talk with people who are from different places, knowing their experiment. In short, enjoying your time at ELI of Pace, you will get a great memorable experience. PS: Don’t be shame to ask the staff of ELI question, they are so nice.
